Young Investigator Awards : call for abstract submissions
The BHVS is eager to encourage young researchers working on all aspects of research related to heart valves and heart valve disease.
As part of this initiative, the Society will host its first Young Investigators Session during the forthcoming Annual Meeting which will be held at Wythenshaw Hospital, Manchester, UK on 3rd October, 2103.
Young researchers are invited to submit a short (350 word) abstract of their research. Both clinicians and scientists studying for postgraduate qualifications (MD, PhD, or equivalent) are encouraged to take part and researchers with up to two year’s postdoctoral experience are also eligible. Abstracts covering all areas of research related to heart valves, including work at an early stage, will be considered.
The authors of the three best abstracts will be invited to give an oral presentation at the Annual Meeting of the Society and the abstracts will be published on the BHVS website (https://www.bhvs.org.uk/). The three successful authors will receive free registration to the meeting and a prize (book token to the value of £150) will be awarded to the best paper.
